The gravel bike cycling event The Smoke Ring Challenge has been organized yearly in United Kingdom, region East of England. The last edition of The Smoke Ring Challenge took place on Friday 07 July 2023 and the next edition of the bikepacking, ride, ultra will take place on Friday 05 July 2024 in Tilbury, East of England

Organizer: The Smoke Ring Challenge will follow ‘The Smoke Ring – An orbital route around London’, which is a long-distance off-road MTB/gravel route created and published by MTB Epics UK in 2014. You will encounter a huge array of trail gems over the 200 mile distance, taking in bridleways, byways, singletrack, woodland, heathland, purpose-built MTB trails, urban and more..

The event route starts in Essex and will orbit London in an anti-clockwise direction visiting Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey and Kent. Some of the many highlights will include Epping Forest, the Colne Valley, Berkshire/Surrey heathlands, the Surrey Hills, Box Hill and the North Downs.
