The TRANSMURGIANA is a cycling adventure in the heart of Puglia, one of the most beautiful regions of southern Italy.
It is a self-guided journey, lasting 8 days (7 nights), departing from Bari (capital of the Region).
Along the way you will visit:
- Alberobello, the city of the "Trulli", strange dry stone houses with conical roofs (UNESCO SITE);
- Matera, one of the oldest cities in the world completely carved into the rock (UNESCO SITE);
- Castel del Monte, one of the most famous castles in Italy with its octagonal shape and the many secrets it still hides (UNESCO SITE);
- the Alta Murgia National Park, the only Pseudo-steppe in the Italian mainland, (a Protected Area that is about to become Geo Parco Unesco);
- the coast of the town of Trani, called the "Pearl of the Adriatic" for the white limestone with which is built its old town and the beautiful Romanesque cathedral, a few meters from the sea, one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Europe.
The itinerary also includes the passage from lesser-known places of interest characterized by great charm, allowing you to taste the local cuisine directly from the producers.
We have selected the most authentic accommodations and will transport your luggage stage by stage so that you can fully enjoy the landscapes and warm spring climate of our region without any effort.
