The gravel bike cycling event Sedgefield 500 Wilderlands has been organized yearly in South Africa, province Western Cape. The last edition of Sedgefield 500 Wilderlands took place on Friday 08 September 2023 and the next edition of the bikepacking, ultra will take place on Friday 06 September 2024 in Wildernis, Western Cape as part of the circuit Gravalist Series 500 2024.

Organizer: The Sedgefield 500 Wilderlands is an unsupported ultra distance gravel event.

This means no aid stations, no route markings. You get a route gpx file and you ride it your way. Do it over the full 60 hour cut-off and stop where you like, or test your mettle and ride it non-stop.
