The gravel bike cycling event Ultimate Pyrenees Pursuit has been organized yearly in France, region Occitania. The last edition of Ultimate Pyrenees Pursuit took place on Sunday 17 September 2023 and the next edition of the bikepacking, ultra hasn’t been announced yet.

Organizer: The Ultimate Pyrenees Pursuit combines the events the Catalan Pursuit and the Basque Pursuit into one challenge.

Imagine climbing over 66,000 meters of elevation over a distance of only 2,700 km!

To put things into perspective, this is more elevation gain than the entire Trans Am race over just a third of its distance, and this is more elevation per kilometer than any of the excellent Bikingman race series.

It's like climbing Mt. Everest over six times from sea level!
