The gravel bike, mountain bike cycling event The Rift Gravel Race has been organized yearly in Iceland, region Southern Region. The last edition of The Rift Gravel Race took place on Saturday 22 July 2023 and the next edition of the cyclosportive, race will take place on Saturday 20 July 2024 in Hvolsvöllur, Southern Region as part of the circuit Gravel Earth Series 2024.

Organizer: The Rift is a 200 km (125 miles) off-road bike race through the dark lava fields in the highlands of Iceland. It traverses the continental rift between North America and Eurasia - a rift that grows one inch every year. The growth is evident with vast lava fields all around creating a surreal landscape. A landscape that is remote, rugged and unpredictable!
