The gravel bike, mountain bike cycling event the GOATS has been organized yearly in Portugal, Distrito Castelo Branco. The last edition of the GOATS took place on Saturday 21 June 2025 and the next edition of the bikepacking, ultra hasn’t been announced yet.

Organizer: The GOATS is an unsupported ultra distance cycling challenge in central Portugal, an area that includes part of the highlands.

The route circles the entire Serra da Estrela Natural Park and almost never loses sight of it. You will often see the highlight of your adventure, the Alto da Torre da Serra da Estrela, the highest point in mainland Portugal (1997 m).
