The gravel bike, mountain bike cycling event the GOATS has been organized yearly in Portugal, Distrito Castelo Branco. The last edition of the GOATS took place on Sunday 01 October 2023 and the next edition of the bikepacking, ultra will take place on Saturday 05 October 2024 in Penhas da Saúde, Castelo Branco

Organizer: The GOATS is an unsupported ultra distance cycling challenge in central Portugal, an area that includes part of the highlands.

The route circles the entire Serra da Estrela Natural Park and almost never loses sight of it. You will often see the highlight of your adventure, the Alto da Torre da Serra da Estrela, the highest point in mainland Portugal (1997 m).
