La Ruta de Conquistadores has been organized yearly since 1993 in Costa Rica, provincia Limón. The last edition of La Ruta de Conquistadores took place on Thursday 21 November 2024 and the
next edition of the stage race will take place on Thursday 06 November 2025 in Siquirres, Limón

Organizer: Conquer your limits at the original mountain bike race that traverses the continental landmass from coast to coast-from Pacific to Atlantic-is no easy day at the beach. Between its sea-level start and finish, the 300K route crosses five mountain ranges forcing you to climb an elevation gain of 12,000 km! The daunting terrain is so harsh that half a millennium ago it took Spanish conquistadores led by Juan De Cavallón 20 years to cross the land of Costa Rica from the Pacific to the Caribbean Sea; today, following almost the same trails they blazed, modern-day explorers racing on mountain bikes will do in 3 days.
