New edition of one of world's the largest recreational bike rides is announced! The annual cycling event Vätternrundan attracts about 36 000 cyclists, spread over 2 weekends in June and is based in Motala on the borders of the beautiful Lake Vättern, region Östergötland, Sweden.

Vätternrundan is offering events for any kind of cyclist with the cycling classic Klassiska Vätternrundan as main event, scheduled on Friday 14 June 2024: a challenging 315 km bike ride around the second largest lake of Sweden which offers a breath taking scenery.
A personal challenge
The Klassiska Vätternrundan is a not a race but rather a cyclosportive (cykelmotionslopp in Swedish) as cyclists start in waves and wear a timing chip that registers their individual times. These times can be seen under Results. Everyone can check what time they started, when they passed the check points and what time they arrived at the finish in Motala.
