The Giro di Lombardia, since 2012 Il Lombardia, also nicknamed the « Autumn Classic » or the « Race of the Falling Leaves », is one of the five Cycling Monuments, the classic one-day road races with the greatest history and prestige on the international road cycling calendar. It was first held in 1907 and is the only Cycling Monument scheduled in the European autumn.
The GF Il Lombardia, the granfondo version of the pro race Giro di Lombardia, is definitely one of those bucket list road sportives you need on your palmares!

Although it doesn't cover the entire same route but includes the 2 monumental climbs, La Madonna del Ghisallo and Muro di Sormano, the latter is 2km long and averages 15.8% and a maximum of 27%. Your opportunity to conquer one of the toughest climbs in professional cycling!
