next edition of the stage race will take place on Monday 01 December 2025 in Kigali, Umujyi wa Kigali

Organizer: The Rwandan Epic MTB stage race is the adventure of a lifetime. Unique atmosphere, stunning scenery and many, many hills. Right in the heart of Africa.
The Rwandan Epic is a mtb stage race for duo's. Solo riders or e-bikers are admitted to participate "hors compétition", as riders who loose their teammate during the race.
The Rwandan Epic team starts with an urban prologue in the capital city Kigali, a queen stage of 100 km and 2600 metres of elevation gain, a more explosive stage around the Twin Lakes area of the country and a unique XCO style stage on the slopes of the Volcanoes National park. The final stage is guaranteed to once again go towards the Kivu Lake for the finish beach party. Rwanda is known as the country of 1000 hills, and the course reflects that with lots of climbing, with plenty of single track and some nice natural rock gardens.
