The mountain bike cycling event Recce Raid has been organized yearly in South Africa, province Mpumalanga. The last edition of Recce Raid took place on Thursday 25 April 2024 and the next edition of the ultra, XCM marathon hasn’t been announced yet.

Organizer: The Recce Raid is an epic MTB or Trail Running adventure that will take you to the boundaries of physical and mental toughness while enjoying the wonders of nature and being human. It takes place in the Eastern Escarpment and mountainous areas of Mpumalanga in South Africa.

The Raid Raid passes through iconic and unique landscapes, including the Highlands, the Helvetia, Kaapschehoop, Berlin, Elandshoogte and other plantations and natural forests, Donkerhoek in the Kwena Basin, the upper Crocodile, Elands and Komati rivers with Noord Kaap and Suid Kaap tributaries with countless waterfalls, idyllic and remote valleys and gorges, and more.
