The mountain bike cycling event Hondsrug Classic has been organized yearly since 1997 in Netherlands, Northern Netherlands. The last edition of Hondsrug Classic took place on Sunday 01 October 2023 and the next edition of the XCM marathon will take place on Sunday 29 September 2024 in Gasselte, Northern Netherlands

Organizer: The Hondsrug Classic is one of the biggest mountain bike events where all categories start in a race. From experienced competition riders to recreational cyclists and enthusiasts. From 1997 to 2011, this classic was organised every year in October and many well-known mountain bikers and enthusiasts have taken part in this race through the Staatsbossen (state forests) in Gieten.
