Organizer: The Ciclostorica Epica Vanvitelliana is a retro cycling event that evokes the cycling of yesteryear, using period bicycles and clothing. Participating bicycles have special features such as a steel frame, gear lever on the frame tube, and brake wire routing outside the handlebars. These are bicycles strictly built before 1987, and the participants' clothing is also vintage.
Due to its connotation as a non-competitive ‘slow’ cycling event, the Ciclostorica exalts the valorisation of the territory and the protection of the landscape by appreciating the beauty of uncontaminated places that can only be easily enjoyed on two wheels and paves the way for an alternative tourism that has aroused great interest in recent years.
