Macclesfield Bikeathon is a road bike cycling event category ride in United Kingdom, region North West England limited to 500 participants and was organized for the first time in 2019. The edition Macclesfield Bikeathon 2025 will take place on Saturday 17 May 2025 with departure in Macclesfield, County Cheshire, North West England.

Macclesfield Bikeathon is offering 3 routes (96, 48, 19 km) for road bike

Organizer: Three Cycle Routes to suit mixed abilities
We will take you on a well-rounded tour of the area, with an opportunity to ride happily in the knowledge that your miles will be making a difference.

We have a 12 mile family route which heads north out of Macclesfield along The Middlewood Way towards Poynton where the route joins the road and heads south back towards Macclesfield.

Cheshire Plain 30 miles
Ride around the beautiful Cheshire Plain with its quiet hedgerow lined lanes.
The route heads west from Macclesfield towards Jodrell Bank then north towards the feed station at Great Warford Baptist Church. Then it is on to Alderley Edge and Mottram St Andrew before returning to the Macclesfield town centre where the welcome of the finish line awaits.

Cheshire Plain 60 miles
The longer 60 mile route follows the above 30 mile route to the feed station at Great Warford. It then continues west, following quiet Cheshire lanes towards Tatton Park taking in views as you ride through the parkland. From here more country lanes link to Byley where the route turns for home heading northeast back towards the feed station for another refreshment stop and the final push back to Macclesfield to collect your finishers' goodies.
