Organizer: The Karapoti Classic is New Zealand's longest-running annual mountain bike event.

The full course "50K Classic" starts LeMans-style, bikes in hand, with a sprint across the Akatarawa River, Karapoti Park in, followed by a kilometre on a sealed
road before heading west into the spectacular Karapoti Gorge.

From there it begins a single 30K loop in the native and pine forest of the Akatarawa Ranges.
