Searching in cycling calendar on Battistrada.com

Battistrada.com is gathering cycling events for any bike type from all over the world into one huge cycling events calendar. With +6.000 cycling events in +90 countries and +60.000 monthly visitors Battistrada.com is definitely the biggest cycling calendar app worldwide.

A extensive search functionality is required to smoothly search for the cycling events you're interested in.

Go to battistrada.com and click on "Calendar" in the main menu.

You will be presented an extensive search function where you can search geographically on Continent, Country, Region, et cetera. Additionally you can search for a certain Category of cycling event, or events specific for a kind of Bike Type, or from a specific Date. Selecting a data will result in the events taking place from that Date on. And you can even specify your search on Distance and/or Elevation gain.

Let’s, in this video, search for a road cycling event in the United Kingdom. You type “United Kingdom” in the search box, the results corresponding the characters you entered are appearing in a list. Simply click on the matching result, in this case “United Kingdom” and the calendar results will refresh automatically and show the cycling events in the UK. Now you simply add “road” bike as a Bike Type and hit the Search -button. Then only the road bike races will appear. 

You can either add events to your Calendar directly from the search results or if you would rather have some more info about the event first, you can click on the event and add it to your Calendar from there. 

How to add an event to « my Bucket List »
For events you would like to add to your « my Bucket List » the process is almost exactly the same. You just click on the STAR -icon and it’s done. You will see the icon turns pink which confirms the event was added to your « my Bucket List ».

Besides this simple search you can combine several Categories with several Bike Types by simply selecting them in the corresponding lists and hit the search button. 

Search Countries, Regions, ... in your language or original name:

This time we search for a cycling event in Tuscany, Italy. Type “Tuscany” or the original Italian name “Toscana” in the search bar and select it from the appearing list. The calendar results will refresh automatically and show the cycling events in Tuscany. Now you can also refine your search by selecting a or more Categories, Bike Types or other search criteria. 

Search on Event name:
Last but not least you can even search on Event name in the search bar. As an example we search for the event "Tour of Flanders Sportive". When you click on the event name in the appearing list you will be redirected to the Event page itself. You can even search on the Flemish and original name “Ronde van Vlaanderen Cyclo”.
