The Kettle mettle Dirty Fondo is the Oldest Gravel Fondo in Western Canada. A Gravel Fondo is a bike event that takes place primarily on gravel roads and trails on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail (KVR). Situated in the stunning Okanagan Valley, our course carves its way through wildflower-blanketed canyons, historic trestles, and shaded decommissioned railway tunnels. You can expect panoramic views of wineries and crystal clear lakes as you climb and descend the sweeping switchbacks of the KVR.
There are 2 main options for participants to choose:
Kettle Mettle Klassic 1 Day event on Sep 14th from Penticton to Kelowna
which includes 3 Distances
• Medio Fondo 50KM
• Full Fondo 100KM
• Full Fondo Plus 138KMs
Of the Kettle Mettle 2 Day Stage Race Sep 13th-14th 2024 Which includes the following
Friday Sep 13th 100KM stage from Summerland
Saturday Sep 14th the Kettle Mettle Klassic. (choose from Full Fondo and Full Fondo Plus options)
Participants come from Alberta, throughout BC and even Washington State to participate and some of the participants stay for 2 days but many stay for 3 or more.
