The Granfondo Milano-Sanremo is the non-competitive version and follows the same route that the great champions follow in the Spring Classic Milano-Sanremo.
The Granfondo Milano-Sanremo is the longest amateur cycling event in the world, covering some 296 km from the gates of Milan, across the plains of Lombardy and Piedmont, to climb the Turchino and reaching the Ligurian Riviera. From Genoa, it then skirts the Ligurian Sea to the finish on the Corso Garibaldi in Sanremo, which can only be conquered by first tackling the legendary Cipressa and Poggio di Sanremo climbs.
