14th edition of granfondo Mallorca 312 is announced

The granfondo Mallorca 312 has quickly become one of the most famous road sportives events worldwide since its inaugural edition in 2009 with less than 200 participants! This year’s edition was limited to 8.000 entries which were sold out in less than 10 hours!!! And these number seems to be a real limit as the refreshment points can be chaotic, according to the feedback we received from a participant.

The granfondo Mallorca 312 is held on closed roads and cut off times are set to ensure you can finish the long route (312 km with 5.000 m of climbing) before the time limit of approximately 14 hours. If you can’t make it in time you have to continue the shorter routes of 167 or 225 km. Anyway all routes will let you enjoy Mallorca’s magnificent Serra de Tramuntana with spectacular views (especially from Sóller till Andratx) which makes Mallorca a truly amazing cycling destination, often called the cycling paradise (among cyclists).

Every edition, a honored participant can wear the honorary bib number 312 which was worn this time by former 3 Grand Tour winner Vincenzo Nibali, nowadays a mountain biker, who already announced he’s later this season participating in the also very challenging Hero Dolomites.
