Organisator: The Glacier Cradle Traverse is a three-day mountain bike stage race that takes place in the heart of Gauteng. The Avianto Lifestyle Estate, set alongside the Crocodile River, hosts the event and is only 30 minutes from the city and 10 minutes from Lanseria Airport.

With trails that are often described as Gauteng’s ‘best kept secret’, riders are welcomed to the ‘wild side’ of Gauteng and given a truly unique experience of the area surrounding the Cradle of Humankind. The exclusive routes extend into Muldersdrift and adjacent estates and conservancies, with breathtaking views and even the possibility of game encounters in store.

To encounter this natural beauty a mere half an hour from Johannesburg is only part of the reason that this event has become a favourite for local adventure-seekers.
