The gravel bike cycling event Backroads has been organized yearly in Netherlands, Western Netherlands. The last edition of Backroads took place on Saturday 09 March 2024 and the next edition of the cyclosportive, ride hasn’t been announced yet.

Organizer: Backroads is an ode to the legendary spring classics Tro Bro Leon in the barren Brittany, Paris-Roubaix or the Hell of the North in France, and of course the peerless Strade Bianche in Tuscany. These classics are ridden on back roads; backroads that connect the main roads and often offer an unexpected perspective. Quiet paved roads interrupted by unpaved strips of gravel, sand and bricks, that's Backroads!
