Seeds & Stones Roubaix 2024 was gravel bike cycling event category cyclosportive, gran fondo, race, ride in United States, state Illinois limited to 750 participants and was organized for the first time in 2024. Seeds & Stones Roubaix on May 11 is a 72 mi gravel race on 80% gravel roads just 1 hour West of downtown Chicago. This premier gravel event is like none to date. The event starts and finishes on a gravel track that will have a classic barrier lined finish chute.
For those looking to enjoy gravel, the event starts with a salute to our charity, Team RWB, with all veterans getting a lap of honor before rolling out. There will be two Infinit Energy Zones on course with bottle hand ups. At the first energy zone there will be a giant laundry basket in which a rider can shed morning layers and have them safely transported back to the start. The course takes place entirely on county roads and is suitable for all ability levels.
For those looking to race, we have changed the game. Yes there will be podiums at the finish line but the real battles will take place within the event. There will be 5+ preme segments (Think Strava style, not first across) throughout the race totaling more than $2000 in product/services. Products will range from local brews to performance testing to bike parts.
Or you can do both, target 1 or 2 of those preme segments and enjoy the rest of the day. With the participation of 5 members your team will be given a 15’x15’ area at the start/finish to put up a team tent. This will be a place to congregate pre and post event and also promote your team.
