Baakens Bash MTB Race is a e-bike, mountain bike cycling event category race in South Africa, province Eastern Cape limited to 350 participants and was organized for the first time in 2019. The edition Baakens Bash MTB Race 2024 took place on Sunday 06 October 2024 with departure in Gqebera, distrik Nelson Mandelabaai, Eastern Cape.

Bring the family and enjoy one of the most accessible, fun, and family-friendly MTB events in the country.

There are three race distances, catering for complete newbies to the seasoned pros. PLUS, the event is held in support of our Baakens Valley neighbour, the Aurora Special Care Centre.

Residents of Aurora Special Care Centre will participate in the first-ever Baakens Bash Wheelchair race.

There will be stalls for eats and treats afterwards.
