Baakens Bash 2023 is a e-bike, mountain bike cycling event category race in South Africa, province Eastern Cape limited to 350 participants and was organized for the first time in 2019. The edition Baakens Bash 2023 2023 took place on Sunday 30 July 2023 with departure in Gqebera, distrik Nelson Mandelabaai, Eastern Cape.

Fat Tracks Mountain Bike Club has been hard at work building, maintaining, and restoring the tracks in Gqeberha’s Baakens Valley. Now it’s time to put them to the test.

Bring the family and enjoy one of the most accessible, fun, and family-friendly MTB events in the country.

There are three race distances, catering for complete newbies to the seasoned pros. PLUS, the event is held in support of our Baakens Valley neighbour, the Aurora Special Care Centre.

Residents of Aurora Special Care Centre will participate in the first-ever Baakens Bash Wheelchair race.

There will be stalls for eats and treats afterwards.
