The Yeti Bike Race follows partially the Annapurna Circuit, one of the three major trekking routes in the Annapurna region, which circles the Annapurna itself, the tenth highest mountain in the world at 8,091 metres (26,545 ft) above sea level.
The stage race is surmountable for the vast majority of mountain bikers. With an average level, stages of 35 to 50 km can be overcome without problems, designed to be able to enjoy visits to temples, glaciers, hot springs, etc. in the afternoons... an unforgettable experience. The organization has arranged two stages of acclimatization and one neutralized so that all participants can complete the test without excessive problems.
The average elevation per stage vary from 1,000 to 2,400 meters in the queen stage and you will go through canyons, forests, endless paths, rivers, mountain passes... 100% by land with views of some of the most famous eight-thousanders of the Himalayas. During the queen stage (stage 6) you will conquer the Thorong La mountain pass, the highest cyclable pass on the planet at an altitude of 5,416 meters (in the month of october normally without snow).
